RITUAL AND RITES OF PASSAGE
People often seek therapy because they are in some process of transformation and change. The process of doing depth work in therapy can foster the opportunity to be in this transformative aka liminal space. When we investigate into deeper knowing and remembering of our core sense of self, inevitably there is a deep transformation that takes place. Ritual and rites of passage are symbolic ways of honoring transformations we make throughout life. In our work together, we might engage in practices that mark these transitions, bringing in sacred practice to make these changes feel more meaningful - and often easier - as we go through them.
When the caterpillar enters the chrysalis, it liquifies and dissolves to become goo. Oftentimes, the process of therapy can feel similar. After the goo stage, the caterpillar transforms into a new being that interacts within a whole new elemental field. This process of liquifying can be very ungrounding, alarming, and can make “doing life” and navigating relationships and work challenging. Without the awareness and language to speak to this potent transformation, it can feel overwhelming. I enjoy illuminating and offering a new narrative to life’s big changes from this transpersonal and transformative perspective.
Being in the liminal field is standing at the threshold of what once was, and is no more; at this time, what is to come has yet to be known or to unfold. Standing at this threshold can evoke questions like “why does this not work anymore? Who am I? What’s wrong with me? Why am I crying all the time? Why am I so rageful?!” It’s important to pause and honor the transformation that is occurring.
If this is a supportive way of exploring for you, we can weave ritual and rites of passage into your work.
NEURODIVERGENCE & HIGHLY SENSITIVE PEOPLE
I make a safe space and welcome folks who identify as neurodivergent and highly sensitive people. I strive to attune to the needs of people who think, feel, process, and integrate information differently than their neurotypical peers.
In our work together, we may unwind some of the negative narratives and stigmas around neurodivergence, and will create a container for discovery of what this uniquely means to you. My hope and intention for you is to foster self-empowerment and self-discovery through a place of sovereignty. In my work, I do not diagnose or label anyone as being on the spectrum. If you have been diagnosed and/or identify with being on the spectrum, I can help you understand more about the ways you identify with your neurodiversity. If you’re unsure if you fit the criteria of the diagnosis, then we can explore together which traits you identify with and which you don’t.
In addition to these specializations, I also work with individuals in transition, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, health concerns, and sex and sexuality (kink, sex-positive, and poly-aligned).
Fees
